BUG! changed ICC profile disables color editors

Changing the ICC Profile in Base Characteristics to AdobeRGB disables the advanced color editor.

Selecting View Selected Color Range shows no difference at all. Moving the sliders in any way show no update in the viewer at all.

Exporting color adjusted image shows none of the color edits made in the advanced color editor.

Same behaviour is shown in the basic color editor and the skin tone editor

    Adobe RGB is a workspace and not a input profile.

    I feel this is a bug.

    In Camera, I have chosen to use the AdobeRGB colorspace so all shots coming from the camera are in that space.

    If AdobeRGB cannot be used in the base characteristics, why is it in the list and available to be selected?

    What is Nikon D7100 Generic anyway? Where did this come from? How was it created?

    When I changed this setting, everything started to work as I expected it to with regards to exporting color balance. When the default Nikon Generic ICC is used, things are funky. Your reply still doesn't explain why when choosing a different ICC causes the color editor to break.

    Opening PSD's created in C1 have the Nikon Generic ICC applied and not the AdobeRGB as I had intended them to have. In my opinion, this is wrong hence why I declared it a bug.

    If you are going to flat out deny this as a bug, back up your statement with a full and complete explanation as to why. I feel I gave ample explanation as to why I felt it is.

    Best to create a Support case for this I would suggest.

    The choice of sRGB or Adobe RGB in the camera is related to the production of jpg files, including the jpg preview file embedded in the NEF file. The NEF file (and all RAW files) are data collections that do not themselves have a colour space. They can be interpreted to any colour space (within reason).

    If you are seeing the Nikon Generic ICC as a default value and you have not set that value specifically then I would suggest something strange has occurred within your installation and it would be best to take some advice from C1 Support.
