RX100 coming in cropped? Undo crop command?
When I view newly imported images from an RX100 in the crop view they all have a crop. in the rectangle, the crop is larger on the ends than on the sides. I can remove them manually, but the vertical and horizontal images have to be removed separately because if I apply an uncropped vertical to a horizontal it gets cropped way in top and bottom as it keeps the horizontal ratio rather than reading the image as uncropped.
Is there a reason for the default crop? Is there a remove crop command? I can't find any reference to one in the online manual.
Thanks for any answers.

Just a thought, is it automatic lens corrections cropping after correcting distortion? 0 -

There may be a connection. I just looked at some images shot with a little zoom and they have less cropped out image. Also, I just looked back at an image where I was shooting with Jpeg + Raw and the in-camera Jpeg is wider than the cropped C1 image, but not as wide as removing the C1 crop.
However, if this is the reason, it seems at the least over aggressive. 1. the area outside the crop doesn't appear distorted. 2. I don't think it should crop out more distortion from the horizontal sides. 3. if you turn off "crop distorted area" you really see how much distortion is being corrected for in the software.
The lens is worse at the corners, but it doesn't seem to me to deteriorate that much more in the cropped area.
In any case, is there a "undo/remove crop" command? I can't find any way to remove a crop other than pulling out the sides.0 -
If you go into the lens correction panel you should be able to set distortion correction to zero. 0 -

The lens has a huge amount of distortion that needs to be corrected in the software. I assume that's why it took so long for C1 to offer correction at all. If you turn off "hide distorted areas" you can see how much there is. Setting distortion correction to zero does remove the crop, but it leaves a distorted image.
I'm wondering about the crop shown when in the Crop panel, and whether there is a command in C1 that removes an applied crop. Maybe I've missed it, but it seems the only alternative to moving out the crop on each image by hand is to copy the adjustment for an uncopped image and applying it. However, C1 takes the ratio and applies it to the other image which means a horizontal with the crop pulled out all the way applies that ratio to a vertical.0
