Canon 1dx Previews: Magenta Casts & Black Previews
Hello all ....
After creating a new Catalog and importing files at their "Current Location" the import takes place as one would expect. But when either the Recent Imports (dated Import) or All Images is clicked, the images appear on the right, firstly as one would expect, then all images develop a magenta cast and when highlighted the larger image has the magenta cast for a brief moment, then the images turn black rendering it impossible to complete any processing.
I've checked the preferences and turned the Open CL to "NEVER" as posted elsewhere, but the magenta cast persists until I activate one of the previews. Then the larger image appears for a moment as a Magenta casted image which then turns completely Black.
A side issue to this is that when I go to Phaseone.com for support, I can fill in my email and password but my machine will never get me to the support page where I can write to the support team regarding this issue. My C1Pro7 is therefore unusable. Any help would be greatly appreciated, since I have yet to be able to use the program on my Canon 1Dx files.
My system is an iMac 27" 2.93 Ghz Intel i& core, with 16gb Ram running Mountain Lion OSX 10.8.2 with a second 20" Cinema Monitor.

With the help of other Forum members I've resolved some minor issues resulting from personal techniques and C1Pro7 (Thanks Grant and Paul).
However the Magenta and Black previews previously mentioned still exist, so I did a little testing.
If I shoot Full Res RAW files (5184 x 3456 px) files, the Magenta Preview Cast is gone. The files show up as normal files, clean previews, no casts and perfect larger previews.
However if I shoot M(RAW) or S(RAW) files, as I often do because the end use is for much smaller images, that is when the cast and black preview shows up.
Hopefully someone at C1Pro7 tech support will address this issue in a future update.0 -
I think m/sRAW aren't supported, check with the release notes. 0
