Apple Aperture to CaptureOne - Performance

I'm struggling moving from Aperture to CaptureOne - I got about 70,000 pictures in my Aperture library - opening the Aperture takes about 7 secs and moving/browsing around is fast and snappy - opening CaptureOne takes at least a minute if not more with a lot of fan noise and then maybe another 30 secs with the beachball - is anybody else experiencing similar kind of issues - is there a fix or is CaptureOne just not made for handling a large catalog?

Strange.... i have move 40K pictures from Aperture to C1 and for me performance is better in C1 by far. With 40K pictures, Aperture was taking a minutes or so to open and a lot of slow down with some projects.
With C1, opening seems just above 10sec.

and Yes you are not the only one with issues here on speed
Phase one made a good Raw engine but a slow buggy DAM
so if you are up for it try http://www.aphub.de
it works good, using Aperture and C1 together
