Nothing much has changed in terms of user interface between 9 and 10, so what you learn about 9 will still be useful for 10.

Additionally, one of the best free resources are the webinars on Phase One's YouTube channel.

When you are upgrading from v9, v10 will look almost the same. But as soon as you load the v10 default workspace, it will look quite a bit different. Tool locations and tool tabs changed. Same if v10 is your 1st install. To follow the book, better save the default v9 workspace as a personal one. (You can trial v9 1st, just to save the workspace, if you want.)

    Regards,

By the way, the online documentation for v9 has never been actually finished. It still contains numerous links to version 7 and 8. So after a while, you don't exactly know where you are and whether what you're reading is actually relevant.

Apparently, the version 10 online documentation has been written more carefully and is not such a "cascading" document. I have not detected such "back links" for the moment.

The "download PDF" link is broken, however.

I suggest you watch Derrick Story's 5 hour 48 minute course on Lynda.com....fantastic way to learn it.

Yes, one has to pay for Lynda.com, but there is som much there, and you can subscribe for a month then drop it for 1/2 the price of the eBook and Print bundle of "Capture One Pro 9: Mastering Raw Development, Image Processing and Asset Management"...I use that excellent book also by Sascha Erni, published by Rocky Nook. Bought the bundle with ePub, PDF and print copy.

BTW one of my favorite aspects of Lynda.com is you can choose whole courses on video and they download to your phone for offline viewing...like on a plane, or to listen to on a long car ride etc.

    Great minds must think alike!

I have the 30day trial of Capture One, and I'm going to start a free 10day trial of Lynda to watch that very course, I bought the book when it first came out but have not red it yet, I'll do that after the videos and check out some YouTube videos before I make up my mind.

    Thanks for everyone's suggestions.

I take back what I said. The co10 online documentation has the very same problems as the previous versions, if not worse. When you click on a link, you can't be assured that you'll stay within the co10 document. You can find yourself reading the co9, co8 or co7 document without noticing. The displayed screen captures may also relate to a previous version. This doc is as messy as the previous ones.
