Keywords in C1 v7
This is either right under my nose or not there at all, but is there no way of making a new keyword or building a keyword hierarchy system in Capture One Pro 7?
I can't imagine who would spend their time typing out keywords one at a time in each file's metadata, so there's got to be a better way.
thx

Same here, when I select the images I'd like to add a keyword to, or add change EXIF data from, after adding/changing the data, only the first selected image is changed, ignoring the other selected images.

@vitorm
You can add keywords in the Metadata tool tab. Scroll down to the IPTC-Keywords section and click on the + sign.
CO7 does unfortunately not have the ability to built a master keyword list.
One slight improvement in CO7 over its predecessor is that you can use the Filter tool (Library tool tab) to add keywords. The Filter tool shows all keywords in the current collection (folder, album). You can drop an image or a selection of images on the keywords to add that keyword to these images.

Sounds like a different issue. One way to copy keywords from one to many images is going to the Metadata tool tab and use the double-arrow symbol on the tool's title bar. The Option and Shift key moderate its performance.0 -
Thank you Paul for clarifying that.
It is unfortunate that such a sophisticated software supposedly catering the most demanding professionals in the industry does not have one of the simplest, yet most crucial, DAM tools available.
The day you guys decide to add a real keywording system I'll go back to C1. In the meantime, Lightroom it is.0 -

I think Phase One relies on Media Pro for that. I use Photo Mechanic for that purpose.0 -
Came on this thread via the Google. Has anything become of hierarchical keywords, keyword lists, and the like in C1P? 0 -
It seems Capture 1 is not interested in providing a fully integrated system of software products. I stopped using adobe due to their decision to impliment ransom-ware. I just didn't think something as basic would be such an issue. too bad really. 0
