Backup behavior when importing
Hi,
When importing files (session), I am used to have the backup done at the same time, therefore I choose a directory on a backup removable HD in order to do so.
Doing the importation works fine the backup by itself works fine too. Where I am a little bit disappointed is with the structure C is created for the Backup, why C1 need to introduced 2 other directory to the one I did choose ?
Example :
- Choose on external Disk H: the directory PhilR_September_22/Day1, meaning I am intend to have the PhilR_September_22 as master directory, and then adding a Day1, then Day2 and so on as the work session goes on.
- C1 do the following : Create 2 new directories, the first one is 2015-09-24 21.52.48 and then under this one Day1 if I had selected Day1 originally.
As a consequence I have now the following directory structure : H:\PhilR_September_22\Day1\2015-09-24 21.52.48\Day1 where the files are located. Why the heck CA is creating these two directories ? I did not request them, therefore they should be there, I mean a software is there to help me to gain time not for creating extra I do not ask for, thus creating much tasks for do handle and finally time consume.
If someone knows about this behavior and able to avoid it, I thank him in advance. I did seek around a lot but did not find anything in Preferences menu or elsewhere to get rid of that.
PS: The ultimate solution, is to do not perform backup via C1, but to copy the files afterwards on the backup HD into the right location (exactly what I hate to do because of the introduction of possible mistakes).
