Crashing all the time!

    Two suggestions:

    1) Update your OS to 10.4.11 (the most recent version)

    2) Trash your preferences file (user -> library -> preferences -> com.phaseone.application.captureonedslr.plist). This resets the software to factory defaults.

    WARNING WARNING WARNING -

Removing the .plist file will reset your toolbar, any custom processing setups (ie - it will reset to "high quality" and "quickproof"), and you will have to re-add any sessions. (Settings for files in individual sessions will be retained). But this is an oft-used trick when the program develops "glitches" similar to what you speak of.

There are also several other .plists which can corrupt (Knowledge Base article 1589). White balance, LCC files, styles, and any other "saved" preset can also corrupt; think back as to whether this problem developed right after saving any such file. But most likely, one of the two suggestions at the top will work.

    Hi -
    First try this uninstall: http://www.phaseone.com/HOME/Content/Su ... 20-%20Main
Then get yourself a new download - ( 3.78 is available now ) make sure your RAW file is supported and install. Create your process folder in the default location of User> Pictures. Bring in a new set of captures ( not the previous ) and try processing. If you still crash please create a support case, let us know if here is a specific error prior to crashing. you may want to attach a crash log and a RAW file to the case; http://www.phaseone.com/HOME/Content/Su ... 20-%20Main
    create a support case:

    Kind regards-

    Thank you, JRA.

I have contacted support and we are now working through the problems.

One thing, however, is that this newer version says it supports my Canon Mark III EOS 1D but when I attached it to the 3.7.8 app to upload some photos, it said "Connection failed, Error: 0c000080". Do you know what that means. I thought that this newer version now supported my camera.

    Thanks

    Hi there,

It seems that I have the same problem over here. With a Canon 350d with firmware 1.0.3 (Rebel XT outside Europe)

I tried: [...deleting a lot of text]

All of this has not worked for me.

    BUT !!!!!!!!!

I found out what the problem is!!!! 😄

You have to change a setting in your camera's menu. There is a setting called "communications". Change the Print / PTP connection to PC Connection. That's it!

    Regards

Well done, but for Frances144 the problem is slightly different. The EOS-1D Mk III is not supported for tethering at all in CO 3.7.8 Pro. It is in de release notes.
