OS X halts when transferring images without inserting CF

OS X halts when shooting and transferring images without inserting CF card.

I am using Canon 1DS MK3 connect to Mac Pro 3.2G with 10GB ram directly without inserting CF card. When we upgrade to OS X 10.5.6 & capture one pro 4.6 build 24882.24877, it halts when we transfer images quite often. We have to restart to connect again. Can you help me sloving this problem?
