New PO45. Trial terminated 2014. Today pictures to import
Hello forum
I have start CO7 for 60 days for testing end of 2013.
I used pictures from PO back, only stored files from www.
I used pictures from my own Canon EOS 5DM3.
I use Mac OS X 10.6.8.
I have not seen any problems.
The trial was stopped early in 2014.
In March I have buyed a second hand PO45.
Today I make some pictures with the PO45.
I have put the card in cardreader.
When I start CO7 I see the canavas but a message come that I should check the license code.
I have heard that I can use CO7 for free if I use pictures from a PO digiback.
What's the problem?
What I don't understand?
What must I do?
Additional question.
I can import the PO45 pictures in Apples Aperture.
After import the info in Aperture show always approx. 50 MB per picture but always a size of 208 x 156.
The pictures very small in preview.
What the problem here?
Please give help.
If additionally info necessary please give feedback.
Thanks.
Jochen

Hi Jochen,
CO7 can run in either of three so-called modes: Express (lite version), Pro (all bells and whistles, and DB (like Pro, but digital backs only, no DSLR editing or tethering).
Both Express and Pro can run a trial without license. DB is free and unlimited. You can start CO7, and when the trial expired message appears, activate as DB.0 -

I do following.
a) Start CO7
b) A message window come named License.
c) Inside I use only Capture One DB using, not other marks in small table below.
d) I press the button <Using>.
e) A new message window come named License.
f) Inside a button <New Start>.
g) I press this button.
h) CO7 go off.
i) Nothing happened???
When I start CO7 again the same steps coming.

Quick workaround: rename the application, like from 'Capture One' to 'Capture One 7'. Start it again and see whether you can activate DB successfully.
If not, open a case with Phase One, to get to the bottom of it. Let us know what happened if you like.0 -
@Paul.
Thanks.[quote="Paul_Steunebrink" wrote:

Thanks, now it run.
There was also an other input workflow where I can activate direct DB.
