New Camera Profiles
I am expecting to receive my Canon 7D MkII at the end of this week. As there is no profile for this camera in v8.0.1, will Capture One use a default profile to display raw files, or will they simply not display at all?
How are profiles for new cameras added to Capture One? Are they added to dot releases that you can pick up in an update?
What is the normal interval before a profile for a new camera is published?

When a raw file is not (yet supported), it will not display. You can update for free to a point release. No release date is publicly communicated for the next point release and whether or not it will contain the 7D mkII.
Being an early adopter has it pros and cons. No doubt the 7D mkII is high on the list. Expect tethering support to come later, as it requires Canon to release an update to their software kit.0 -
Thanks for the information, Paul.

Also looking forward to the 7D Mark II point release. 0 -
Well coming from the Nikon world with a D4s as early adopter and with a D810 as early adopter again it is painful to wait for weeks until a new update is available. Especially if your workflow developed over years using Capture One Pro. Export you RAW files with DDP (Canon's RAW Developer tool) and be very patient with Phase One - I am sure they are already working heavily on a new version.
