move a photo between catalogues
Hi all,
Quick question, is it possible to move a photo from one catalog into another one with adjustments?
Cheers,
Fatih

The EIP (Enhanced Image Package) is intended to allow moving raw files complete with variants, adjustments, etc between computers. See "Exporting Originals and Variants" in the on-line help. The help mentions importing to a different session so it might be necessary to use a session as an intermediate stop between catalogs. 0 -

RAW's are not in catalogs but in separate folders. Sure I can just drag and drop but that won't carry the adjustments I think0 -

In a catalog, there is nothing to stop you right clicking an image, choosing Export...>Export originals then making sure you check the "pack as EIP" option. You then get the EIP file saved in the place of your choice, and from there you could import it into the other catalog.

Yes, EIP worked for sessions only until version 10, I think. Now, it works for catalogs as well. 0 -
Hi open the old and the new catalog. In the old one copy the adjustment (the arrow right up in the symbols row right). The arrow beside this, showing down, will get bright. And this happens also in the new catalog.
Import into the new one the photography you want to move, then click the second arrow (down). That´s it. lars0 -

To unzip the EIP may be is only possible in sessions, for you want the RAW back, lars 0 -

I appears I don't need to unzip, it automatically imports into the catalog and separates the adjustments and and RAW file0 -
Not in my C1-11 pro mac. lars 0 -
Sure would make sense if you could just drag an image from one open catalog into another open catalog. That would be way too easy though. 0
