There have been posts before about double-clicking to toggle between browser and viewer. But the trouble is that double clicking in the viewer already fulfils a different function - toggling between 100% zoom and fit to window. I think you'll find that a lot of us C1 users are very accustomed to the way it works on that and on cropping and would be just as dismayed as you if it were changed to work like LR. You might find quite a lot of resistance to any change to your preferred method.

Can you please consider for a future update... When using the Crop tool, pressing Return/Enter key will complete the crop and return the cursor back to Select. As currently we have to press the V key to finish the crop and go back to the standard cursor.

You can edit the keyboard shortcut if you don't want to use "v".

Since you like the KB panel, get the BT or MF and you can map out a button to toggle back and forth.

I agree, the Tangent setup is a worthwhile add-on. I have found I enjoy editing my photos more. Plus its a great time saver.

I never knew that and can't seem to get mine to do it; double clicking in the viewer with no browser displayed does nothing. Is there a setting somewhere I've missed?

I'd like that, too. Right now, I click on the standard cursor tool to go back.

Actually I did map the view toggle (Opt+Cmd V) to my Wacom tablet button, so it works to toggle back to the thumbnail view.

I get it that many people are already accustom to it being this way. Not a big deal, just a minor complaint, as every program has it's quirks (like Crop tool in LR is the R not C key..?). 😄

Agreed. My viewer, when full screen, does nothing when I double click on the image. It does not go to 100%...??

Double clicking on the preview only goes to 100% when the pan tool (hand cursor) is selected.

Oh, OK! I see that, now.

So why would long time C1 users object to the double-click with the standard cursor selected going back to grid view?

I wouldn't object to that as long as I didn't lose the existing behaviour, though remembering which cursor you have selected all the time might be tiresome. I rarely use the select cursor, and I almost always revert to the hand cursor.

Because I have no use for this behavior.

But if not, you can press and hold the spacebar and then double-click. That works regardless of which tool you have have selected: the spacebar switches to the hand tool for as long as you hold the spacebar.

Another useful trick: you can get the loupe by pressing and holding down Option+Spacebar.

BTW, it would be nice if the other tools were spring-loaded, too. E.g., press and hold 'c', crop and then release the c key to get back to the previous tool. Voila, no need for the Return key anymore. Mmmm, maybe log it as an enhancement request!

    Cheers,
    Peter.
