    Hi,

What sort of problems do you have ?
I think the best way would be to import, from the C1 menu "File -> Import catalog -> Capture One catalog", your catalog (now on your "old" hd) into your iMac SSD. You just have to localise it when the import window opens.

In the first instance when I tried to open my main catalog on the ext he drive I got the message ‘Unable to Open Catalog’ window...’The catalog is currently in use by:

<original username>. On the previous iMac

‘The catalog can only be opened when no other users have it open.’

I read that a solution to this is to delete the writelock file in Package Contents. I didn’t delete but renamed NOTwritelock.
This allowed me to open database but no keywords were transferred.

I imported <main catalog> which seemed to work but attempts to locate files just caused the files to disappear from the folders menu.

You shouldn't have to locate files, but only the catalog, which seems to be what you have done anyway, as you can open the imported catalog.
