I am having the same problem. I believe we are getting the non-pro version. I sent an inquiriy to PhaseOne support, and hopefully will have an answer soon.

Look under the Capture One > License... menu. Under the top pane (License), look for the phrase "License Code." Under that should be your serial number and the name Capture One PRO (if that is what is licensed.

I am running Capture One Pro 4.5 on a Mac, so the menu name I used above moght not be correct, but it probably is.

    I hope this helps,

Rocky.........Thanks for the info. I had looked there before and it did say "pro"...............This new 4 is a step backward, if this is the pro version. I tried the 4 beta ....(non pro)..... months ago and it was very clumsy...........

    Jack,

I know what you mean. I find that version 4 is very strange (to me, at least). I used to be able to take care of things pretty quickly under 3.x. I'm finding that it's taking me too long to do the same things under 4... I guess I'll just have to get used to it.

    Regards,

It is a easy way to know that you have "PRO" 4.

If you see the tool "LENS CORRECTION " in the toolbar,

    you already have "PRO" version.

Lens Correction tool and the Capture tool both apply to PRO and DB. The suggestion to view the license in Help menu seems to me more conclusive.

Are you guys paying for the software?
Because if so I would think its pretty obvious whether its PRO or not.
I would know if I spent $399 or $99 for something.

    Just a thought

    Hi Keith,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. The 'to be or not to be 4 Pro' questions stems from fact that with the introduction of CO 4.5 and later there is a single binary for all versions. In addition, some users had used their (CO3) Pro license key on CO 4.0/4.1, which was a standard or non-pro version. After update to CO 4.5 this could result in an installation running as non-Pro despite the license they applied (and paid for).
