is there a way to map a lens profile to a lens?
I’m wondering if there is a way to map a lens profile to a lens so that adjustments get automatically applied.
I have a Canon 5D IV and one of my lenses is a Carl Zeiss Distagon 85mm. I don’t see a lens profile for it, and to be honest, it really doesn’t need much adjustment, but there is a profile for the Nikon version of the same lens. I could be wrong, but aside from the mount and the aperture ring on the Nikon, I assume thst the lenses are otherwise identical, but I don’t think C1 is applying the lens profile to it.
Is there a way to map it so that it does?

You can apply it manually, no problem. The optical design is the same, according to Zeiss. 0 -
Right, I have been applying it manually, but that can be tedious.
I’m looking for a way to map the profile somehow so that I don’t need to manually apply it.0 -
The best that I can think of is to use Filter Tool or Advanced Search to select all images with that lens, then select "Edit All Selected Images" and apply the equivalent lens profile.
Its not easily scriptable, since AppleScript cannot obtain the Lens Model from Capture One (it could, from the image file using EXIFtool), and can't select lens profiles in C1.0 -

Provide us with a raw shot with the lens, and we can add autodetection for it. Contact our support-team, and they can advise on upload.0 -
Same issue with the very popular Sigma ART series lenses. Profiles are available for Nikon, but not Canon... 0 -
With different flange to sensor distances between Nikon & Canon I'm curious if things like distortion, vignetting, & sharpness fall off differ between the two? 0 -

If you have a lens, where the profile exists, but is not auto detected, feel free to do as I described above.0 -

The flange distance is compensated by the specific mount, and not something that affect the profile under normal use.0 -
