Frans,
There is no difference between the trial and the full program.
Which version are you using?
Did you use the same version for the Trial?
In what way is the Erase brush not working?

Hi Grant,
(The notification does not work either ☹️ Notify when posted is checked)
First I did the trial upgrade from 7 Pro to 8 Pro.
In trial 8 Pro I did some Draw mask: cirkel with + in the middle and erase mask with - in the middle.
Did work as in 7 Pro.
Now with 8 Pro Licensed the Erase mask does not work. Chosen with the dropdown menu and with shortcut 'e' the + changes into - but it does not have effect.

Frans,
OK, there was some confusing in the way things worked in V7 in respect to whether people were using the layer functionality or trying to apply adjustments to the layers WITHOUT making sure that they had the layer selected.
In V8 this was changed so that the Local Adjustments tab, as a default, contains ALL of the tools that can be used to adjust a layer. You can also use the same tools outside the tab be making sure you activate the layer concept first for those tools that can work in both layer and "background" mode.
I think in is possible that you have found some confusion at this point - probably most of us did at first. Before adding any further confusion it would be sensible to make sure you are comfortable with the subtle differences between the way V7 and V8 work when applying layers.
If you have created a layer and want to erase part or all of the mask (or simply reduce it in some areas) you need to be sure that you have selected the layer and made it active before attempting to erase anything.
What are your observations?

Hi Grant,
I did hope that could be the case, but no.
I did reinstall CO8 (to be sure)
New Session
Delete old CaptureOne Settings/Cache/Settings70
Import image
Drawing a mask results automatically in a new layer 1
I select Layer 1 = orange
I select Erase mask in the LOCAL ADJUSTMENTS
The + in the circle changes into -
The picto in Cursor Tools change into Erase mask too.
But no erase possible.
In the mask is an orange circle to shift click the mask. That works.

That was going to be my next suggestion. It's something that is easy to miss sometimes when you are thinking about the results not the mechanics of the activity.
