FREQUENT CRASHES WHEN TETHERED CAPt v7
Hi there
I am experiencing frequent unexplained crashes when tethering to my Imac, and shooting on Capture One V7.
Crashing is happening every time i have a session open.
I am running IQ180, Hass H2, C1 v7, Imac OS10.6.8.
Prior to upgrading to C1 v7, this didn't happen.
Should i delete all my Captrure pref. from the pref. folder and start again, or reinstall the software.
Cant get answers from my local Phase Tech

revert to C1 6.4.4
or
delete the pref. files, install c1 7.0.1, run disk utility. See if it crashes with a different tethered camera, i.e. Canon0 -
ok, i'll try that, thanks a lot 0 -

Derek,
Although there may not seem like there is an explanation for the crashing, there always is.
As Christian suggested it would be beneficial for you to create a support case and provide us with the Log files and Crash reports so we can point directly to what may be causing the issue.
As you mentioned the use of sessions, it could be related to the number of images in a specific folder when accessed through the session. Capture One 7 can use Hardware Acceleration to improve performance but as you are on an iMac this feature may not have sufficient resources (iMacs have lower grade hardware) to efficiently work. Turning the "Hardware Acceleration" to "Never" may remove this conflict or perhaps try to use a Catalog workflow would stabilize the workflow hundreds of image being accessed at one time.
You will be best served through a support case so we can find a definitive answer as appose to speculating on the Forum.0
