You are welcome.
More to come.... 😉0 -
Loving the new functions myself but what I would really LOVE to see is opacity slider and functionality and most of all edge detection when using the brush tool. If Aperture 3 can do it I am sure you can do it even better!!
I am sure thats probably in the works already but if it is not maybe you can suggest it for us Ulf 😉

Personally I've yet to see a raw converter with edge detection that really works. Normally makes really bad transitions in LR/ACR and Aperture. I always turn it off. I'm sure C1 could do it right, but I'd be shocked if it came soon. 0 -

Fully concur. It would be a great plus to have this feature well-implemented.0 -

While edge detection does not always do a great in LR3 or Aperture 3 they both do a great job when there is enough contrast between subject and background for example bluejeans on a light background such ad a Beach or sky.... It's not always possible but when it is it saves a huge amount of time instead of having to go to 100% view and meticulously erase what went over the edge... Certainly I still hope they add the function.

one other very useful tool would be red eye removal..... you won't see it in the studio but if your doing Gala events etc and are forced to use a press flash on camera then you will usually end up with more then one or two great shots that have red eye..... in LR and Aperture it's just a 2 click process..no need to open Photo shop to remove it and when the client wants the pictures yesterday there is little time for photoshop. For fashion shoots in the studio or on locations around the world I always use capture 1 but I find my self being forced into using aperture or LR3 for all my events because the tools are all there to use before processing and can then be uploaded to a gallery or ftp with a click.
I would prefer to use C1 for everything but but for events it tends to slow me down and there is no time to lose in most cases!0 -

I absolutely agree and regularly face the same issue. C1 handles highly saturated areas like things lit by colored stagelights much better (LR still has issues with highly saturated or oversaturated colors). On the other hand C1's high ISO noise reduction is inferior to LR3, the images look cleaner in LR due to the lack of rectangular artifacts. That's another reason for using LR because between all the flash shots I enjoy taking some without it since the D3s provides us with decent image quality up to ISO 25000.0 -
Seems to me red eye tool already exists in the form of a local adjustment. 0
