Does going to an older version use an upgrade?

Version 3.7.* came with my P45 back, and hasn't been installed. I installed 4.0.1 just to discover it doesn't work tethered. And it says I have one more upgrade left. I want to install 3.7.8 Pro, but will I lose my last upgrade if I go to 3.7.8 and later to 4.x when it is out in Pro?

How do I do this?

    Hello,

    Installing 3.7.8 will not us an upgrade as this is the base level the key is for. Also the upgrade to 4 Pro will use your other upgrade becaue it is treating the current version of 4 as "Pro." therefore when 4 Pro is released it will simply be seen as just another free update.
