Image opening issue
I have a file opening issue that I hope somebody can help me with.
Whenever I try to open an image through the Finder or from within Iview using “Open With†, C4 opens, but it does not load the image I have selected, but instead opens the first file in the directory where the image is located.
By contrast, if I select the image to open with Capture NX or ACR, the file I want to adjust is opened.
Does anyone else have this issue?
Thanks for the help.

First, I am surprised how you managed to select CO 4 in the "Open with" dialog. It is grayed out in my computer (OS X 10.4.11).
Next, everyone will (probably) have this issue, because CO 4 is folder based (or folder oriented), not file based. When opening a folder, it starts with displaying the first image.0 -
I am running 10.5.1 so maybe this is one of the few advantages Leopard has over Tiger at the moment 😊
This is a shame since it renders an external DAM virtually useless.

I'm in the same position trying to process a number of RAW files that currently lie in desktop folders catalogued in Expression. C1 4.01 is listed as one of my Helper Applications in Expression (same for iView) and reckons I can immediately open or edit any image I chose through the chosen app.
C1 opens up but it doesn't seem to find the RAW file and open it in the main window despite it being in the correct folder. All I get is a blank window saying No Images when clearly they're there so I understand what you're saying Paul about C1 being folder and not file-based.
I suppose I'll end up piling up copy files in a new folder and asking C1 to load that instead, rather than processing individual files.0 -
I opened a support case and asked for this to be modified in the future.
For the short term I created a "drop folder" that has a folder action associated with it to automatically open C1 when a new file is added.0 -
The 'Open With' works with my Tiger 10.4.11 too. 0
