Move referenced files and database to new computer
I want to move my C1 database to a new computer and also move the referenced files. I have over 47,000 images in referenced files on an internal Hard Drive on a late 2008 Mac Pro. If I simply copy the database (C1.cocatelog) and the referenced file folders directly, the linkages to the referenced files will be lost when the database does not find them where they were originally. How can I make this move and preserve the linkages in the easiest possible way.
I could remove the drive and remount it on the new computer, but I would have to buy an enclosure for it. I could then leave the folders on the old hard drive or move them using Capture One, assuming the HD is recognized as the same drive when mounted on the new computer.
I could use the old Mac Pro as a target and move the referenced files using Capture One to a new drive on the new computer.
Bottom line: I would like to do this with a bit less fuss using a way that might also be useful in moving the referenced files from a backup to a new computer with a new hard drive. Is there a command in C1 that will relink an entire set of referenced files identical to the original?

I did some more work on this. Phase One tech support suggested importing the catalog from my backup using C1's import function. Unfortunately, this stalled at "less than 5 seconds," and C1 became non responsive. I found this to be easy and straightforward:
1. Copy the Catalog to the hard drive of the new computer or new Hard drive.
2. "Relocate" the referenced files: The drive name and folder locations of the backup of the referenced files must match the source. That is, make sure the referenced files are located with a path in the backup identical to the source computer (to which the catalog referenced the files).
3.Start C1 and open the catalog. Click on the Hard Drive in Folders (below the catalog listing) in C1 and click locate.
That re-links the referenced files.
This takes a few minutes.
Of note, I am not sure that you have to be so rigid as to have absolutely identical HD names in the path. It may be enough to have the main folder in which the reference files are located match that of the source.0
