    The best way to do this i via Levels or Curves (the RGB channels).
    If you are using the black & white tool, you can use the split-tone tool there.

    I second the request of the original poster.
    There is a beautiful, softness that I can obtain by using split toning on colour images that is very difficult to achieve using curves or levels (I can't do it).

    If, for whatever reason, it would be prohibitively difficult for you to enable split tones on colour images, please can the image professor write a post about it?

    ......couldbe also done easier as in B&W, don't you think?, otherwise wouldn't have been done this way in B&W. The point here is , if you already have split toning why not letting us use it either with B&W and with colour.
