Batch rename files

Hello,

I have tried the Batch rename files, because i was getting a duplicate warning.

I thought that the rename function would rename the actual physical files, but it seems,
that it does "only" rename the filenames "virtually". My question is now.

How do i batch rename the physical files in a catalog?

  Hi Jan,
  
  Are you working with 8.3.3? Renaming is for the physical file but I have seen this mentioned earlier. Hence my question whether this is still the case on 8.3.3.
  
  Could you also mention whether you use session, catalog with managed images or catalog with referenced images.

  Yes - 8.3.3.
  
  Catalog managed files, and same behaviour with sessions.
  
  "Glad" that other people has experienced this, so my initial understanding of this feature is correct.
