win xp and problems with launching camera wizards

Hi

I run phaseone pro for win. I just put it on a new laptop running XP home. I use a canon 1ds2. normally happily tethered in the studio to a dell, this toshiba portable is used for outside shoots.

when I run phase one and then plug camera in, microsofts finest wizard pops up and offers to download my camera images........after that its hanging programs all round.

Can anyone advise how I disable the xp camera wizard from launching every tiime i turn my camera on and off. I use a horseman LD view frame which means everytime I rotate the camera protrait to landscape i need to pull the firewire lead, and heh presto.....bill gates wonderfull wizard crashes phase one again.

no good no fun, this is costing me money

any help would be appreciated

    There is different ways to do this but this is one good way.
    Go to:
    http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/down ... rtoys.mspx
    Download and install \"Tweak UI\"
    Launch it from the Start menu
    Browse your way in Tweak UI to: My Computer -> Auto Play -> Handlers.
    Find \"Copy Pictures to a folder on my computer using Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard\"
    Press Edit
    Uncheck all of the check boxes.
    Press OK and OK.
    This should do the trick.

    Ulf Thanks for that, it worked a treat. I still get a launch box appearing which asks which program i would like to run on launch, but I ignore it and phaseone launches fine and picks up when I plug and unplug.

    When you get the launch box you should be able to say \"Do nothing\" and check of a check bos so it does that everytime.
    Now you shouldn't see that box again.

    I only get 3 options , a check box for 'always use this program for this action',

    and buttons for OK or CANCEL
