From what I can see in your screenshot, is you've selected a blue range and adjusted?0 -
Hello,
Turn off your Hardware acceleration.
I am a bit angry as it is not working properly.
I do use Radeon 5700 XT and when I do render with software the only everything is fine, but wen I turn on HW acceleration (openCL) everything is f*** ** in pictures when processing JPG and during live previews of adjustments too ( as it can be HW acc. too) .. but is so fast. and files are also two times bigger, don't know why.
Example with HW acceleration turned ON 🤬 🤬 :

If I understand correctly your MSI ALPHA 15 A3DD uses AMDs Radeon RX5500M GPU from the same family as the Radeon 5700 XT in the second post.
There seems to be another thread referring to similar problems:
[The Capture One forum has migrated to a new platform, as a result all links to Capture One related postsstopped working and have been removed]&start=30
After some research it seems that the culprit is most likely your OpenCL driver for Windows 10.
Apparently, AMD hasn't yet fixed the problems with their OpenCL driver for their Radeon 5000 Navi / RDNA GPUs.
You can find several sources citing the OpenCL driver problems, e.g. around SETI@Home.
I am experiencing similar artefacts after upgrading my Windows workstation with a RX 5700 XT card, using the current 19.12.2 drivers and Capture One 20.
Apparently, the Radeon 5000 OpenCL drivers for MacOS are not affected as I do not observe the problem on my 16" MacBook Pro with Radeon Pro 5500M graphics.
Looks like we have to disable hardware acceleration until AMD has fixed their drivers...
Maybe reporting the problem to AMD helps a tiny bit: http://www.amd.com/report0 -
Update: After some more research and testing, the following procedure helped in my case:
Fully remove the drivers using the AMD Cleanup Utility from https://www.amd.com/de/support/kb/faq/gpu-601
Caution: This requires re-booting into safe mode, so have your Windows password ready, not just the PIN
Download and install AMD's newest Radeon RX 5700 XT drivers from here:
https://www.amd.com/de/support/graphics/amd-radeon-5700-series/amd-radeon-rx-5700-series/amd-radeon-rx-5700-xt
Before using Capture One again, remove all files (ICOCL.xml, ICOCL.bin and ICOCL_all.xml) from the the hidden OpenCL Kernel directory here: C:\ProgramData\Phase One\Capture One\ImageCore
Start Capture One, and check in Edit - Preferences - Hardware Acceleration if "Display" and "Processing" are set to "Auto"
For a while, you should see the message "Setting up hardware acceleration" which can take several minutes.
Happy photo editing!
Used configuration
- Intel i7-8700K
- Gigabyte Z370N Wifi Mainboard
- Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT 8GB
- Windows 10 Pro 64bit Version 1909
- Capture One 200 -
So I tested it ( to remove and install the driver and rebuild kernel)
I realized, that affected images are only ones in which I touched DYNAMIC RANGE SLIDERS (highlight and shadows) ☹️ ☹️0 -
Seems to be the same here, unfortunately. ☹️
Both editing an processing appear to run fine and fast as long as all HDR controls are still at zero.
Once I start using any HDR controls, things get worse:
- While editing, I have quite a bit of flickering and no more smooth adjustments. ☹️
Still, the images appear to be OK after a second or so.
- When processing, the JPGs have the artefacts observed earlier 😭
Very bad, as I am quite regularly using the HDR function...
I still hope Phase One has got a fix for us...0 -
Just a note that this is the V12 forum and I suspect we are looking at V20 in the most recent posts (or at least one of them).
That also means that there may be some potential for confusion between Mac and Windows installations.0 -
No, I am talking abut V12. I didnt updated, as I saw post that is the same in V20.
EDIT: I just downloaded trial version of V20 and the problem is still there, so I am sorry I am not going to use C1, ( hello Lightroom user again).0 -
OpenCL issues related to the Radeon 5700 should be fixed in Capture One 20.0.2. Please contact Captture One Support if you still experience this. 0 -
Same issue still persists ☹️ [quote="Frank Leonard" wrote:
