Tethered shooting Slow upload speeds

I shoot with a nikon d800 and I have up until recently always shot tethered with a macbook pro and I have had no issues .... I recently moved across to my Mac Pro 2012 3.2ghz 32G of ram with a ATI 5770 graphics card. OS 10.13
Im using capture 10

My issue is it is taking for ever for the images upload after each shot

Does anybody know what the issue may be ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated !!

    Several reasons, but first thing to check is if your D800 is connected at USB2 or USB3. Check the physical connection, then check System Profile > USB to see if it's connecting at 5Gbps (USB3) or 480Mbps (USB2).

    I would also check to see if you are up to date with C1 releases. My transfer speed was really slow on one of my computers when tethering but all I had to do was update the program and it works great now. Also, think about how much space you have on your hard drive. They have a certain amount that they recommend but I would try to keep it above 100gb at all times.
