I don't do tethered shooting, but there have been a number of queries about this in the past, and I believe the answer is that you cannot save images both to the camera card and to the computer when you are shooting tethered.

Thank You Ian, I wanna be sure about it, cause for me it's important have a copy into Card, it is a safety issue, one time ago after tethered shooting, computer was not start! and all picture are inside. I try to understand if there some way to save the picture also on the CF or another kind of back up.

What we recommend is to use a backup utility and a separate USB disk. Setup the utility to copy all incoming files in your Capture folder to the USB-disk.

Thank You Christian, yes I hnow, but I use tethered shooting often not in the studio but in different places (inside and outside), and when I travel I try to minimize the equipment, saving on CF is important for me. With lightroom and my camera model (Canon 5D mark III) can do this, but since I'm going to Capture One wanted to use only this. I hope that in the future will also be provided for this option. Thank You for your Support!

The way LR does it by writing the file to the Card first, and then reading it from the card to the computer. This is a painstakingly slow, compared to reading the file directly from the camera buffer, which is what CO does.

If you are using a Macbook Pro, you can also use an SD-card in the SD-card slot for extra storage, avoiding the clunky external drive, while maintaining the safety of multiple copies.

Hi Christian, sure Lightroom in tethered it's not faster as CO! also with 2 meter of cable and SSUSB connection, 2 time more slower then CO.
I use an Asus n751jk with Windows 10 (16 gb Ram and SSD solid Samsung HD) and has a slot for the SD card. But when I shooting with CO it is possible to directly copy the pictures present in the HD to SD card? There is an option directly in CO or I have to use a back-up program?

You will need a utility. They specialize in these kind of sync-operations.
