C1 in a multiple user environment
We have 4 users in our group and need to access session files at similar times. We no the software doesn't like working from a remote server. Is there a more elegant way to use C1 without each of us having local copies of raw files? Thanks!

It depends on your exact circumstances, but VNC software to control a central computer with your sessions and images on might help. An example is Team Viewer which is free for non-commercial use - there are less polished open source VNC implementations too.
Colour accuracy might be an issue remotely, but I imagine that if you're in the same room, you might hook up multiple mirrored monitors directly to the computer for each user to you get accurate colour, but use VNC to shift control of the main computer to networked computers around the room.
It may also be worth using a hub and ethernet cables to get the most responsive connection possible.0 -
Thanks, anettleship.
Forgive me, but I mis-worded by post. I meant to say we are on a Gig E network accessing a local server. That may change your solution a bit. 😉 Thanks!0
