using a laptop and desktop
I'm looking to share my database between two computers. I currently use lightroom by storing my catalog with xmp on an external hard drive that I swap between computers and use another external raid for my images storage. This way I can easily work from either platform. Can I do this with C1-10, and if so how?

Hello,
if you put the catalog as well as the images (if you use a referenced catalog) on the same external drive then you can swap the drive between your laptop and desktop and thus work from both.

I'm not looking to images with the catalog that defeats the pourpase. Eventually the external drive will be full.
I keep my images on a Drobo raid over 10tb. Is there a way to separate the database from the images. This way all I need to move is the database.
I use 2 external ssd drives. One 266 gig for a catalogue and one 2tb ssd for image raw files at a shoot and then the images are promptly transferred to my Drobo raid where I can either work on them with my DT or LT with the catalog database on the 256ssd swapable between laptop ABD desktop.
This work flow works with Lightroom seamlessly. The Lightroom catalog with 60k of images takes up little room on the 256ssd where a large database of images would be too large to keep on a portable HD.
Not sure how to set this up with C1, or which files to move, or where to get them or if it's even possible to separate the images from the data file with all of the setting changes.
