Can I dsignated with the trash barrell is?
I suspect that the CO v. 8 trash barrel is located with the program on the C drive. I'd like to put it elsewhere on my computer. Can I do that?

In a Session you can set any Folder as the Trash Folder. 0 -
If I knew HOW to do that, I wouldn't have asked the question. 0 -
Vaughn,
By default each session has its own trash folder as a sub-folder in the session folder. This keeps the session together as an entity and makes it easy to move the entire session in a single action should you wish to do so.
If you want to move the session deletes to a different folder you can do so - to anywhere that is visible on the system through the Library window or by using the library window to navigate around the system folders to somewhere where you wish to create a trash folder. You can then create a folder in that location then right click the new folder and set it to be the designated trash folder for the session. So long as you know it will always be available to the session that should work.
That assumes you are not performing a permanent delete of course. The session trash folder is an intermediate delete feature that "holds" the images and can be emptied when appropriate using the function provided in order to keep the session control file in good shape.
I'm not in any way familiar with Catalog functionality but as far as I can tell the trash folder in a catalog is contained in the catalog and stays there.
HTH.
