EOS 350D profile has too much contrast!

I've been happily using C1 Pro with my EOS cameras for years... first the D30, then the D60, then the 10D, and finally the 20D. All had no trouble giving me perfect results with my original preferences when I upgraded cameras.

Now I've added the Rebel XT 350D as a backup, and I've got a huge problem. The pictures have an incredible amount of contrast added when compared to my 20D images, and as a result of contrast, they're too saturated, as well. I have to dial down the CC slider on every image to get anything close to what I'm seeing with my 20D.

I don't want to do that. Is anybody else experiencing this problem? Any way I can get my 350D profile to match my 20D profile. They should NOT be this different... as I said, every other additional camera (including the 300D I had a few months back) did not have such a difference in the profile.

Any suggestions??

    I find the 350 and 20D profiles nearly identical. Have you tried setting to the 20D for a 350 image?
    Could this be a White Balance result? What are you using to set WB for the 350?

    Options are to create your own Custom Profile from generic using the Color Editor - if you have the PRO version that is.

    Maybe the profiles are identical but shouldn't be. I have to dial down the CC slider by about -12 to -15 to get similar contrast to the 20D profile at the defaults.

    I do have the pro version and would turn down the contrast on the 350D profile by default if I knew how to do it. The color editor doesn't appear to have an adjustment for contrast.

    I've installed on my other laptop (fresh install), and things look better. Since my last install was an upgrade, I think it's kept something funky. Going to try uninstall and reinstall to see if that fixes things.

    Nope, even on the new laptop, the 350D profile shots have significantly more contrast. Still have to adjust the slider to down 10-12.

    My point is they are nearly identical, so if you see a Great Difference, I'd say there is a problem with the profiles you have.
    Suggest a complete uninstall including REGEDIT following Knowledge Base article #1665

    Download most recent version of 3.7.4 for a clean install.
    Check results and let us know.

    If contrast remains unsatisfactory, a Gradation Curve File can be saved and reused at the Exposure tab. This can simply be a .crv file that adjusts contrast to -10 and applied to all images of a Session.

    I could take a RAW from each camera with the exact same settings and lens and let you examine them. Would that be of help?

    Otherwise, I'll continue to do my dialing down the CC slider (which is probably easier than restoring from a file), and then applying the same setting to all my 350D shots in a session.

    I do amplify the saturation to something like +10 (by default), which may have something to do with it, too. I've noticed that 350D shots without the increased saturation default look more saturated, and the color is about right. But when you boost the saturation in the defaults, they look far too contrasty. This doesn't happen with 10D or 20D RAW files.

    I doubt many use both the 20D and 350D together, so it may not have been noticed before now... it also may not be noticed for those who boost saturation.
