Capture One Pro and TIF files
I'm new to the forum, so please forgive me if this is a covered subject. I did a search but could not find what I was looking for. I also posted a site on Fred Miranda, a photography site/forum that I frequent, but no one seems to know, or haven't bothered replying.
Can anyone tell whether whether or not Capture One Pro can open/display TIF files? I can see that it can save a processed file in TIF, but it doesn't seem to show in my directory. JPGs do show up though. Is there a parameter or some setting I'm missing, or does the software not handle TIFs?

Hi Warren;
I am 100% sure that C1 Pro can not display TIFF files. It will display JPEG thumbnails but you can't do anything with them.

Thanks, Bill. That's what I feared. I like to place the processed images into the same directory as my 'in-progress' files. That way I can quickly see which I have processed (i.e. where I left off in the last session) by scanning through to the end of the TIF files (I've been using Bridge in Adobe up to now). I guess I will have to find some other way. 0 -
Warren,
TIFFs and JPEGs will display on the Mac platform but only JPEGs for Windows.
I always advise that the best setting to have established at the Process tab is to the Set Process Folder… and check the Always process images to associated image folder
With this box checked, a folder name Develops is created within the Session folder along with the RAW images.
Using an Explore window to display contents of this Develops folder will quickly show details of what files have been processed.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,

Thanks, Keith. It isn't the preferred solution, but I'll give it a try. 0
