importing images issues (non-teathered)

If i'm trying to import say, 500 photos form another folder or external drive into a new session, and i dont wait till ALL the thumbnails appear before clicking "import all" then the only images that end up making it to the new destination are the images that were visible when i clicked "import all"

is this normal? seems silly to have to wait till they all show up before you're able to click import right?

    had the same issue with CF cards... apparently that is how it is.... all thumbnails must load first...
