Can not update
I again wasted halve an hour trying to update from Sony 10 to Sony 11. First my Paypal are not accepted, then my Visa are not good enough, -- even I just used both other places. Finally I get to a screen where I can write my License Code -- I check it in Capture one 10 for Sony ,,,,, but the 4 last digits are there replaced by four "****" So I can no way pay update or even get rid of silli empty Internet explorer page that plaster itself ontop, each second time I try enter to update to Ver11.
Now I am on my 15's try ; when PayPal are refused I can not go back, When Visa are refused I can not go back, When my local Id are refused I can not go back but must start again from the beginning -- each second time just getting an empty silli internet explorer that replace the Capture one page That should come .
This is impossible.

Ah, this is great; After I gave up you actually started the download, after refusing Visa, Paypal and NemId.
Ok I click and the program start with asking for my activation code. Eh what activation code, you have not given me any. Nighter by email where I got the messeage that you taken the money and not at any page.
Please tell me where to find that activation code .0 -

The only "Id" I can find anywhere are a "Product Id" And I think I got "something working" Please let me explain short;
I write you as in may 17 I first time downloaded and activated Ver10 for Sony.
( I could find out to do that)
Then I find that some halve year later you update the Ver10 to Ver11. Sorry I used these months to wonder how long an new payed upgrade near double the cost of the first will last. But I mail you and soon get your "NO"
I excuse my financial condition and age and retired life, and ask you the same questions that you can not answer .
I find the software great, so somewhere I find the money -- Download and pay the 86 Eur to get the same updates as I payed 40 Eur for in Ver10, only to find that tools are blanked out and my camera do not exist.
Right now I use the Ver10; do you mind ?
One place I am told that I have "Capture one Pro 11 for Sony", but checking out within the program I find I have payed 69 Eur for "COP Sony 10 to COP Sony 11" Fact is that I had a wonderful program but even I had the Ver11 registered and payed 86,25 Eur I has a program that work better when I use Ver10 instead.0 -
Ok I can maybe make it more simple;
I bought a Sony camera and found out I could get Ver10 free and upgrate it to "Pro" for 50 Eur.
I now payed 89 Eur for Capture one 11 and if I want to upgrate _THAT_ I must pay 210 Eur, not the 69 plus Vat I payed believing I would get a similar Ver 11 Pro for Sony as the Ver10 Pro for Sony, I already had.

Does it mean that I can get a "free" Ver 11, if I just pay 69 plus Vat, -- so I can get that upgrated to Pro, by an extra 219 Eur, as then I think you should have written long ago, -- when you introduced the Ver11, that "the free" version will cost 69 plus Vat, and an upgrade will cost now, 219 Eur ( possible plus Vat).0 -
I think you're confusing the full Pro version and the Pro for Sony version.

I just did as directed and got the exact same Ver11 that I payed for.
I am now back to ver 10 after paying two different prices for ver11 pro for Sony. I was told to remove the Ver11 completely after deactivating it, and then download it again. --- Yes I paid twice and two different amounts; they put another Vat ontop the price that already include Vat.
First I was promised the upgrade for 69 Eur, now I payed first 89 Eur and then 98 Eur.
After I removed the program I downloaded it again and had to pay again, but even worse it don't recognize my camera.
So r the deal with Sony are over and thereby it is not possible to download a "free" version that can be updated.
Now the free version cost between 69 and 98 Eur and an upgrade cost 214 Eur --- opposite what they told me in a mail, that I could upgrade from 10 to 11 by paying 69 Eur.
The program are up and running, but several tools are missing and my camera do not exist; -- it do exist in Ver10 that I now are using, after paying for two downloads.0 -
I really think you should get hold of our Support Team again. You have many misunderstandings, that our supporters can clear up pretty quick. 0 -
I just did as instructed with the result, that I had to pay once again for the download ; you must do that or you are stranded.
And it work, the program start but there are no connection to the camera beside various tools are gone to. I now am back to Ver 10 Pro for Sony as the new Ver 11 for sony I payed twice for (suggested by support) work bad compared Ver 10 for Sony.
Another thing I were suggested to do, are to upgrade the Ver 11 for Sony, but as I already payed twice, I don't like the idea to pay 214 Eur ontop to get the software working.0 -
It's hard to understand exactly what you did, but if you paid for the update you just need to download and install the software, then type in your licence code to activate. 0 -
There's no need to pay for the download. You can download the software from 'https://www.phaseone.com/' - 'Download'.
Trial, Sony Express, Sony Pro, Pro and DB are the same. The difference is made by the license you select. Trial, Sony Express and DB are free, Sony Pro and Pro need a payed license code.
Make sure 'Sony' is selected as 'Provider' in 'Preferences' - 'Capture', and ideally as the only active provider.
You can see your license code (actual and history) in your profile on 'https://www.phaseone.com/' - 'My Pages'.
The Sony Pro update should be about 69 EUR, the update from Sony Pro to full Pro should be about 214. I cannot tell about the exact prices.

There are no License code, there are a license key, --- Fact is I now payed for two useless pieces of software, and I payed two different prices. One place I must look for a key, another place a code, I did the right thing from the start and got the software downloaded, then someone from support guessed I downloaded the wrong software, but I DID NOT. What I deleted were Exactly the same software as I just installed and asked to get activated as I now payed twice.
--- Nevertheless it can't even recognize my camera. And when price are calculated it is obvious they charge Vat on Vat how else can the price for the exact same software be two different prices.
Support suggested me to deactivate and remove the program, other firms like playmemmories know my account and will never charge double for the same software.0 -

There are no provider except I can chose among a number of cameras, but not my 7RM20 -
There's only ONE piece of software, and then you select your licence type (Express for Sony, Pro for Sony, Pro, or DB) from within the software. If you can't see your camera, chances are you selected DB, which is only for Phase One's digital backs. 0 -

Have you set the USB setting on the camera to "PC Remote" ?0 -
I wonder if the trouble start when starting Ver 10 for Sony and the start screen suggest me to upgrade to Ver 11 For Sony.
I already had Ver10 Pro for Sony and upgraded from there, not from a free download of Express Sony.
You see, I did pick the right buttons, and already had version 10 Pro for Sony running, I know the differences and what each different version are used for, so picking the right version was not the problem. On top I did it twice. I wanted the new version to pick up where I left with Ver 10 Pro for Sony. But you are right, there are a choice of cameras but no Sony.0
