Metadata Gone?

I don't believe this, I have just moved from a PC to a Mac, configured everything the way I want it and thought, I will shut CO down and restart it again just to be safe and POOF, all metadata except for copyright is gone?
WTF has happened here? I can't do anything without the metadata I can't even sort the files!

I was using version 5.0 on the PC but on the Mac I have installed the latest version 5.0.2, is there a fix for this problem?

  For anyone else who might have this problem, I was able to fix it (at least for now) by deleting the directory from my session favorites and then adding it back again.
  Now all of the meta data is back and things are sorted again, Phew...
  
  I will put it down to just another quirk in CO

  FYI, from the CO 5.0.2 release notes (Known issues, General section):

  Hi Paul,
  Thanks, you told me this before. I started from scratch this was a clean install.
  
  Since the mishap I have developed 270 shots without a problem, infact, it seems much smoother than previous releases.
