Metadata Standards

I would love it if Media Pro supported or used more IPTC standards. Specifically, People (or person shown), from the IPTC Extension standard ... or IPTC and IPTC Extension all together. I was hoping that this would be addressed/included in the initial release, but I see that "People" is still embedded in the iView and Expression Media "People" schemas. Being a DAM app, I would think that this is an obvious thing to stay current in. I know other apps allow users to map their own custom metadata schemas. I've been using a script to sync annotations from EM2 and copy them to the appropriate standard fields. I also think color labels should be updated from "urgency" (a deprecated field) to the XMP Label field. Does any one else feel this way? What alternatives are there?
