Search for tagged images
Hello.
I use a single session for all of my images, spread across many different folders and sub-folders.
For my current project, I have colour tagged selected images comprising a series of photographs spanning more than a year and across folders.
Having completed the colour tagging, I want to find and display the tagged images as a group so that I can process them.
I decided that a smart album would do the job perfectly. So I set up the smart album and, to my suprise, it only displays suitably tagged images from my output folder.
I have tried many different approaches and have decided that I must be doing something wrong, have an incorrectly setup session or am expecting too much from the tool.
Would very much appreciate help on this.
Thanks.
Peter

With sessions the smart album searches session folders, session albums and session favourites. If you make a system folder a session favorite it is included in the search. 0 -

Thanks Paul.
I added the "year" folders to favourites and restarted C1. No change.
Does the smart album function search sub-folders?

No. You have to add the folder that contains the images.
It is for this reason (among others) that a catalog is to be preferred over a session.0 -

Thanks again Paul.
Thought as much. Does any search function include sub-folders?
Are there any plans to include sub-folders in smart albums etc?

Peter,
A1: No
A2: Not that I am aware off, regarding sessions0 -
A2. Thats so sad as I am using exclusively Sessions for thethered Advertizing shootings, as a freelance digi-tec I don't want to have to open a new organizing tool every time I want to present selects to clients....
It would make my work much easier.0
