prevent C1 7 startup when attaching camera

Is there a way to stop the C1 7 application from starting up when attaching a camera? I have C1 6 and 7 on my computer and only want to use C1 6.

    connect the camera then launch Image Capture, its a preinstalled application on the mac. at the bottom of the interface you can set what app, if any, to launch when you plug in the camera
