batch renaming, importing so slow
This has plagued C1 since the change from ver3. Batch renaming and also importing from CF card is so slow. I know C1 has to make 4 files for each file it names (cache, proxies, etc) but it is a little ridiculous. Can something be done about this? Other softwares rename so much quicker I dont see why C1 gets so bogged down. I use top of the line gear thats well maintained. I've opened support cases but was told it had to do with the OS, which doesn't seem right if Adobe products rename very fast. I know everyone wants new cool features but I just want the software to work well. Can someone reply if this is going to be improved soon?

I agree this is a major pain the arse. It used to be super quick in the old 3.7 version which to me was the perfect capture software. Simple layout, all tools were where they should be. I wish they hadnt tried to re-invent the wheel when they had something that worked really well and everyone was familiar with it.
The only way I know to get around this problem is to download using finder. Drag and drop from card to session folder. This is a crazy workflow and is actually now making our life more difficult.
I would happily pay a premium to have the old software updated to use the new camera drivers.0 -
Anyone from Phase One? Obviouly its a problem, I would also gladly choose to pay for a working feature - frozen version at this time. I'm sure video and other Lightroom copied features are coming next but we need the basic tethered capture features to work flawlessly. Almost like it used to. 0 -

We can be reached directly through a support case.

There are too many unanswered questions and specific data we would need to know before we could make an educated comment on what you consider to be too slow.0 -

I've made numerous support cases and the tech did say he was able to reproduce it. Its been in C1P since v4 and still here now.0
