Version 5 did that too , I keep a shortcut to that folder and clear it out regularily . unless you`ve got a drive with all your raws on which you need C1 to have constant access to for re-developing , I`d suggest doing the same . empty it every week or so (or after a large shoot such as a wedding / event or whatever)

Interesting - my "...\history" folder goes back to December 2012, but is only 4.7 mb in size.

362 files in mine. Largest file is 44k. Oldest file 27 March 2014.

The batch history, as far as I know, is provided in case for some reason you need to re-run a Process - for a single file or for an entire batch. I would have thought it would somewhat disposable once the output had been produced and you were happy with it.

You can clear it, either from CO7 (Batch tool, Clear History button) or from Explorer.

    Thanks Paul.

What's the function of the files?

    Alain,

you need to be in the "History" tab of the Batch tool:

then go right to the bottom of the window:

In case you like to reprocess an image, a history is maintained. If you do not need it, it is good practice to regularly clear the history.

I`d be nice to have an option to automatically clear all caches etc on exit , that way people can set and forget and won`t end up with the issue the OP had with the drive filling up .
