Getting images into Capture one

It has been awhile since I have used Capture One. I have a question regarding getting to my images from C1. Is there a way to access my images through my own folder structure? It seems that the only way is to create a session or a catalog and import the images. I really would like to not have to do that. I have my own folder structure and I have it on another drive. It seems also if I use a session or a catalog it wants to recreate the RAW files in the C1 folders in "My Pictures". I do not need to have additional copies as this is on a different hard drive. I am not a fan of this importing when I already have the images in a folder structure and location that works for me. Thanks

    When I import photos into Capture One I use a catalog but I leave the files in their original location.

    In the "Import Images" dialog, in the "IMPORT TO" section, make sure the "Store Files" control is set to "Current Location".

    Capture One will then leave the files where they are and only store information about them inside the catalog.

    Using sessions you can just browse to that folder, no need to import anything.
