imgcoreprocess.exe
imgcoreprocess.exe requires an internet connection. What gives? How do I use CO without having an internet connection? I have updates set to "never", and I can find no other options that would require an internet connection.
I'm running a licensed copy of CO 4.6.1 on WinXP Home SP3.

It does not require an internet connection, it does like to have one. Besides for activating, CO4 runs fine without connection to the outer (cyber) space. After activation CO4 checks the activation against the Phase One activation server during startup. It works normal though when access is blocked or not available. 0 -
My copy requires a connection. Both captureone.exe and imgcoreprocess.exe attempt to connect to the internet, and if the connection is not available, I get an error stating "ImgCoreSocket error: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it". Then CO freezes. Ctrl+Alt+Delete is the only way to close the program. 0 -
Both CaptureOne.exe and Imgcoreprocess.exe make a connection to the localhost. If you kill that connection attempt, you kill the application. I don't what firewall software or connection monitor you use, but disallowing localhost connections does not help you or prevent anything. Sounds like an too enthusiastic (or drastic) response.
The only Internet connection CaptureOne.exe is making, is to the activation server (213.173.226.38, TCP port 80), during startup. If you do not allow that, CO4 should run normal.0 -
I use ZoneAlarm 7.0.
