Canon eos-m Tethering, Working?
Hi.
I have an EOS-m I wish to use for astrophotography. Tethering is disabled in the firmware on that camera for some reason. I saw on the net that capture one supported tethering on this camera so I downloaded it. On connection I get camera error.
My 6D works fine and it has the same compatibility as the EOS-m on the compatibility chart for Capture one, namely two X's one in each box.
I did try Capture one on a apple running maverick but although I did get it to recognise the EOS-m was connected it would not control the camera.
Has anyone managed to get and EOS-M to connect and work?
Thanks
Terry

Hi
Did you ever get an answer on how to tether the canon eos m, as i am having the same problem.0 -
HI
With this camera you can tether it and shoot to computer.
But you can not control it from the computer. This is a limitation of the camera and not Capture One.0 -
Hi Ulf
Thank you for your reply, every time I tether the canon Eos m to capture pro 7.2 or 8, it comes up with an error code and will not except the camera for any form of tether.0 -
If you could please tell me how to shoot to computer that would be fantastic? 0 -

You may find some benefit from creating a support case for this if you have not already done so.

Connect the camera and press the shutter release button on the camera., it comes up with an error code and will not except the camera for any form of tether.
please create a support case and include error codes.0
