Corrupt Your Metadata - Repeatable Method!
I have tried to use the key-wording system like one does in Media Pro, and what I mean by that is selecting a group of images in thumbnail mode and dragging them over the desired keyword in the Keyword list. Doing this for a model, and then a hair stylists for example will add the model TWICE! In fact, if you do it again with wardrobe for example now it will add it THOUSANDS of times and suddenly the sidecar file is a whopping 145MB! It has been like this since version 7 and I lost 3 images this way because it will also mess with a TIFF file and destroy the header.
Please fix this, as it sure seems like it should be a common sense method for adding keywords but it does not work properly.

Key-wording is the single most useless feature of an otherwise great product. 0 -
Which version are you using?
There certainly was a problem but I have not seen it in V8.1 - possibly even 8.0.2 - not sure about that as 8.1 came out quite soon after I installed 8.0.2.
I suppose it is possible that there are some combination of things that might mean the problem is still apparent - V7 sessions that have not been upgraded to 8.1 perhaps? I don't know, just speculating there.

This is the latest version with a brand new session. Same problem, and it forces me to use another product for key-wording since it is just risky (and awful to use) in capture one. 0 -

Strange.
I would strongly suggest that you create a Support Case to find out what is going on.
However if you would not be comfortable with the way keywording works in any case then using a separate product may well be your best option - such a situation (not specifically a situation related to keywording) is by no means uncommon in the field of photo editing. We all have out preferences about how to do things and in many situations may not be comfortable with or accepting of a different approach. Nothing wrong with that. I think it is unlikely that the perfect application will ever be written. If it is it won't be in my lifetime.

I will create a ticket, but if they plan to implement it poorly, they should disable drag and drop to stop people from possibly destroying their work. 0 -

I don't think your experience is typical.
It would be good to see a full diagnosis and get an understanding of what you are seeing before before going into all out criticism mode no matter how frustrating your experience may be.
For the record other than some duplication of keywords in earlier iterations, now eliminated in the 8.1 releases as far as I can tell, I have not experienced the problems you describe using copy keywords or drag and drop functionality so your comment above seems to be incorrect based on my experience.
However if you are using both Media Pro AND Capture One for keywording on the same files be sure to make this clear in the ticket. I don't have Media Pro so I have no opportunity to investigate what might be possible using both applications on the same files.
