Rendering much slower since Intel-Firmware Update

Today I made the MacOS security update (in Sierra, not High Sierra), because of the Intel mistake. Because I wanted to know whats the difference in performance, I rendered 92 pictures in C1 (v10) to two sizes. Before the update it took 3:20 minutes, after the update 5:12 minutes. So in my case rendering got over 35 % slower. Thats quite a lot.

Has anybody experienced something similar?

    I haven't updated yet, but that's the kind of amount of slow down that was being warned about with this, I think.

    Strange: I quit C1, waited a few minutes and now the rendering was done in 3:24 minutes.

    Indeed it is. If it was truly that much slower I’d be pursuing Apple u dear the consumer rights act, and I think others with new machines should too.
