Can't save preferences in LE

I have searched all the knowledge base and help but still can't save my sharpening settings.
I set it in preferences to method: Standard look and amount 100 and it stays that way there but when I open a picture the focus tab comes up with the default soft look and 35 ?
I have tried everyway to make the standard look and 100 be the default there with no luck.
Any help?

  If this is a New Session, then there is a problem and we'll need you to create a Support Case and upload a RAW image file.
  
  If however you are working on an existing or previous Session, it is 'remembering' what your Preference setting for sharpening was.
  Your new Preference settings will be applied to all New Sessions.
  To get an older Session set to your preferred of Standard 100,
  set this sharpening on 1st image of a Session, select all other Thumbnails, and click icon Apply these settings... and all will take on the new sharpening.

  I deleted all the previews and reopened capture one and now it is right
