does capture one have a history Tab
Hi Guys...Im a newby at capture one 6..I bought it today along with a copy of media Pro ( I took advantage of the half price sale feels good to get licensed software đ .....so far so good
I've been doing the video tutorials over at phase one ..and while they are extensive,,I cant find any reference to a history tab such as Lightroom has...just in case you want to precisely back track if you feel you have gone to far in the last few steps ..this tab in Lightroom was very handy..any idea how to get the same with C1....
I know i can use the back step arrow...but Id love to see the steps that Im undoing
It was a toss up between capture one/ media pro..or Lightroom 4 and PS CS6...i hope I haven't dropped a bollock getting C1/MP
thanks for any help that comes my way đ

Hi,
Welcome in the Capture One world. A history display like Lightroom has, is not available in CO6, I am afraid. Hope you'll enjoy the software anyway.0 -
Hello Paul
Thanks for the reply Mate....
that's a pity that a History Tab isn't included,,perhaps it would be a worthy inclusion in any future updates đ
one more question for you.... when shooting tethered...can you configure C1 to also allow the camera to save to the compact flash mounted in the camera as well as the PC ....Im using a Nikon D7000 -

When shooting tethered with your Nikon images are stored only on the computer.0 -

Unfortunately this is not available but I agree that it would be a wonderful addition to a future version. Please create a support case to take action in submitting an official Feature Request with Phase One.

This would require us to have access/control of some aspect of the Cameras Firmware. I hope you can understand that this is not something we are provided by the manufacture đ0 -
I think the history list idea is quite good BUT having this facility with another editor application (not LR) I found I really didn't use it that much - or at least no productively!
In fact I find the easy creation and display of multiple version of an image (also available in my other application but faster in C1) to be much more useful - so long as I remember to use it in a timely fashion.
As for storing images in camera as well as on the tethering PC ... I checked for another product that offers this sort of facility (without any editing facility of note) and it seems that Canon allow this (as I have previously experienced) but for the Nikon version there is no mention of the possibility. That seems to suggest that no only is it not available for Nikon but there may be no way to get round that limitation at the moment no matter how keen one might be to do so.
HTH.

thanks for the replies guys..
my main concern in asking if C1 supported back up whilst tethered was if a pc failure happens while in a shoot..id have no back ups..ive just discovered the back up option while importing from a memory card ..will C1 allow tethered shot images to go to a external hard-drive as well as the session folder while being captured ?
ive also found out how to step back from a adjust in each individual tool tab..so even though no history tab..thats useful
I think a history tab would have merit even if only to see what adjustment each image has had all in one place .
its quite a learning curve coming from light-room
be nice to have capture pilot for android based phones and tablets too..is that coming0
