Random Watermark Being Applied to Images after I...

use the copy and apply adjustments feature on them.

Not sure what's going on, but I edited 1 image from a batch, then I copied the adjustments that I made to it to use on others. When I applied those adjustments to other images in that same batch there's a completely random watermark that appears after doing so.

I've taken a screencap of how the original image looks prior to applying the adjustments and a pic of what it looks when the watermark is applied

I'm new to Capture One so this is just weird and bizarre. Being able to quickly save and apply edits/adjustments to multiple images is something that is mandatory for my workflow, so if someone knows what's the best way for doing this please let me know.

It looks like a reflection at the time you took the picture (shop display, bus window ?). Nothing to do with Capture One, in my opinion.

It's Capture One.

The same mark appears on every picture that I apply the adjustments to. I'm not even sure how you could come to that conclusion when I clearly show the original image without the mark on the screen. I've applied the adjustments to multiple images and the same mark appears, so it's 100% not a reflection.

Hmm OK then. For some reason I can't open the first .PNG file, so I assumed it was a reflection. Do you mean the two are the same picture?

Could it be an overlay?

Have you tried to switch hardware acceleration off?

Very weird indeed, I've never encountered such behavior.

Try to switch hardware acceleration off to see if it solves the issue.

Have you been experimenting with Annotations?

Try turning Annotations off to see what happens.

When you say turn Annotations off, do you mean remove it from the toolbar at the top? I've played around with it while I was just exploring the software, but that was it.

What about if you switch off hardware acceleration?

Also, can you check what adjustments are ticked in the adjustments list when you copy/apply?

Finally, if we can't help you out here on the forum, I'd suggest you file a bug report (link in my signature).

Turning off Hardware Acceleration didn't work. I'll take a look at the copy/apply adjustments and see if there's anything in there that can help.

Have you made any experiments with Lens cast Calibration? See if anything is ticked in the Clipboard when you copy form the previous image.

One other contender would be the Overlay option from Tethered Capture functionality. However that would not have any obvious connection only to copying adjustments from one image to another.

I didn't really experiment with Calibration. I'll report back with what's in the Clipboard when I get back to my Macbook and let you know.

Hopefully this helps... I'm new to C1 so I'm not sure if I did what you're asking.

I imported 44 images, sorted them out and marked the ones I wanted to work on with a green label. So from there I have 17 images that I want to apply edits to.

I started digging into the software and working on 1 image. I don't remember all the specific adjustments I made, the image has 4 layers on it right now. After editing it for a while and getting a look that I liked, I just wanted to take what I had and save it so that I could use it on the other images that I had sorted.

In LR I'm used to doing this by simply saving a preset, and then applying that preset to another picture. In C1 I'm not sure exactly what's the best way for doing this... so I double clicked my finished image and I saw the 'Copy Adjustments' option. I copied the adjustments, then I went to the next image and applied it, but now there's this random mark being applied to the image when I do this. And it's doing this on every image I try applying the adjustments to.

So if there's a different way, or if there's a more efficient way of essentially saving a preset (for C1 I've noticed the terminology is Styles and Presets (?)) and applying it to other images let me know.

I tried saving a user style and doing it that way, but it wasn't working. The copy/apply feature worked, but it's putting this random mark on my images and it's really throwing me off.

When using layers you have to apply a mask to apply layer specific adjustments. This mask is either a complete fill, manually drawn or content based from color editor. Now, if you copy/apply all adjustments and you masked certain areas of your image manually or content based, this mask is carried over to the next image. But as the content is different, the mask doesn't fit the content of the image it is applied to. You have to refine the mask.

I don't think it's caused by an LCC, because I'm using it frequently and I never saw it creating sharp edges as with the ghost text in your example. So I'm guessing on the masking.

Copy/pasting adjustments is perfect for adjusting a set of images, but keep in mind that content specific masks need to be refined.
