    Have you tried looking in your pictures folder? ie. Macintosh HD>Users>[username]>Pictures

    so when it crashed, the "catalog" does not see the last part of the shoot, but if you go to the catalog and go to "show contents" -- deep inside the folders, you will find the original raw images.

    There should be a "show original in finder" option when you click on an image in a catalog..

    I think I will be creating sessions for now on during my shoots and then create a "catalog" and impoting my sessions to organize them...

    Dodged a bullet on this one...

    It seems to keep the photos in a file struction similar to iPhoto, etc. My biggest issue when I tested the catalog feature is that I could not find the images with a search in the Mac finder window toolbar. I think I'll stick to Sessions and Media Pro.
